Production Queue
I ordered a 2024 M4440i GC X-Drive with the following:
Portimao Blue Cognac SensTec Aluminum Rhombi Trim Laser Adaptive Lights Driver Professional Assistant Pro Premium Package Advanced Parking Package M adaptive suspension 19 inch bicolor All Season Non RFTs My dealer got the 112 allocation on July 12. Each day I have been My Garage on the BMW app to see the production progress. For the last 9 days it has been on the third dot...your BMW has entered the production queue. So its in the production queue at the factory in Germany. A few questions: Is 9 days a long time to simply be in the production queue? If not, about how long cannot expect to be "waiting" in the queue? Once my car is in actual production...how long for the car build to be complete and ready to go to the port? Just wanted to get a sense of factory manufacture time from entry into the queue (which for me was July 12) to the car being finished and heading to the port. Thanks! |

You can try to get the production date via Chrome Inspector:
If you see the "prodDate" field there, that's the date when the assembly will be finished. |

Congrats! My 4GC is on the water, this was my timeline:
June 23 Production Begins June 27 Awaiting Carrier Assignment June 28 Dispatched From Factory June 30 At the Port July 14 Departed Bremerhaven 7 days to build the car and get it to the port. 15 days at the port. 21 days from start of production to departing Bremerhaven. I was in the production queue for 4 days. But be advised that My Garage is awful and inconsistent with updates. Call customer service and ask an agent. They have more up to date detail. |

Thanks. My baby is now in the paint booth getting her Portimao coat. I have heard the biggest variable is time at Port. Some get a ship in a week or two...some its over a month.

My ship has been in Belgium for 5 days. 5 days. What the hell takes 5 days to load/unload in Belgium? I don't know. Quite frustrating. |

Thanks. Yes...seems like the car goes quickly through the production steps...then you sit at Port 2 to 3 weeks...then your at sea 3 to 4 weeks... then you get the car about a week after docking. So your right...sometime in mid September is my guess.
