I hope someone can help me figure out how this actually works and how to set the right parameters for getting it working properly.

In my car, I have the Adaptive button which supposedly sets the car to change from battery to gasoline depending on the area on which you're driving, based on the info from the nav.

When I drove in Denmark, I think this worked well even without setting the car in adaptive.

However, where I live, Norway, this function doesn't work at all. The highway speed here is from 70KM/H and up. 80 KM/H is the standard highway speed.

However, the car won't change to gas before I hit 110KM/H, which means the battery drains pretty quickly, and I have to be activating battery saver option or moving the gear left to sport.

I'm wondering if there's anyway to change the breaking-points, such that the car changes to gas when I enter the highway and stays in electric in the city. I don't know if this is even possible via coding or if it's something hard-coded in the map or something like that.

Needless to say, in Norway not all the nav functions work either, such as the speed limit anticipation, and other related to navigation.

Thanks RSnic, yes, you're right. Maybe it's not the adaptive mode then, but rather how to adjust the settings of the car so it changes from battery to gas when changing areas, for example city to highway. That's what's not working right now.

Not in a 330e. At least not according to my manual. In the 330e it's specifically to do with saving electricity for the most suitable sections of road.
