We looked to find what I wanted and didn't find it, so he helped me with an order. The MSRP of my 330i xdrive is $59,260. The price I'm paying is $53,400, before the lease & loyalty credits from BMW. I posted the details of my order just a few posts earlier in this thread, but I'll copy it for you: Alpine white exterior, mocha interior, oak open pore interior trim, and extended shadowline exterior trim. M Sport Package, Track Handling Package, 19" M 791 Wheels (jet black), Premium Package, Harman Kardon Sound, Park Distance Control, Black Rear Deck Spoiler, Remote Start, and M Performance Exhaust. I obviously think everything that I ordered is worth it. I tried to get everything I wanted but not splurge for things that don't make a big difference like executive package vs premium. I really wanted the M340i, and felt like I was settling for the 330i... when I added the exhaust and the spoiler, I knew I was getting the right car. Last edited by kwg20; 02-03-2020 at 10:18 AM.. |

wow sounds like a beauty. And i never see an option for performance exhaust. Wonder how that sounds on a 330.
Also did you get drivers assistance pro ? Quote:

For me it was the staggered summer tires and no leather. These two options just weren't that common for whatever reason.

North America Build
Does anyone here have info on a time line for a North America (Mexico) build timeline?

Mind sharing which dealer you worked with? I am in the exact same spot as you between the 340 and 330. I've driven them both back-to-back and now that I cant get a manual transmission, I feel like the difference between the two engines (other than the sound, which is incredible) is minimal under ~60mph.

Yes, the exhaust is a port-installed option that's being rolled into my residual, which at 61%, means that I'm only paying for 39% of the exhaust during the length of my lease. I couldn't be happier with the deal I got on the car. I was so torn between the 330 and the 340. However, I chose the 330 because I'm also saving for a wedding. I was a little sad that the 340 didn't make enough sense for me, but now that I added on the exhaust, I don't care about the 340 anymore, haha. Another bonus is that my gas mileage is going to be outstanding now. I'm still getting a car that'll hit 60 in about 5 seconds and it's going to sound really good too. my last 4 cars were leased and I ordered all 4... the wait can be long and you will be checking your production page several times per day.
other than that its nice that you get to build a car to your liking and once you pick it its a great feeling.

My NA m340i build was submitted on Monday and went into production yesterday. I called today and got a date of Feb. 18 for production end, so it sounds like it's pretty damn quick. Whether that date holds remains to be seen.

I went to this webpage and there it was, showing my car in "My Garage". There was a "Track status" link that took me to my car's production and about a dozen steps where I could track the car as it was built and shipped. But there is one thing missing from this timeline. The transportation info is too vague. I watched day by day as my car was built in the Spartanburg South Carolina plant. After it came off the assembly line, it was to be delivered to my dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area. BMW showed it was "Dispatched From the Factory", then "At the port", and then "In Transit". But then no change from "In Transit" for over a week. Was it on a boat, on a train, or on a tractor tailer truck to go across the USA to California? No way to know. Then suddenly it showed the status going BACKWARDS to "At the port". What? So I called BMW Genius at 844-443-6487, ignored the prompts about tracking, and spoke to a real person. They nicely and quickly transferred me to customer service and within less than a minute, a nice lady (Ashley) looked up my VIN and said that it was actually now in their "Port" at Oxnard, California, as opposed to their "Port" in South Carolina. She explained (and apologized) that their system doesn't clarify the difference between the departure port and the arrival port. She said Oxnard is where they send cars to for West Coast delivery. Apparently, BMWNA uses enclosed rail cars to transport across the country. She gave me dates as to when it would be on a trailer to my dealer (another 500 miles to the North), and then pointed out it would likely get to my dealer long before that. Great and professional service from the Genius folks! She agreed BMWNA need to improve their tracking and appreciated my feedback. Hope this allows you to track your car. |

Tracking
Yeah, it took almost a week before my X3M Competition moved out of the "Scheduled for Production" to "Production Begins". Then in a week it was done. See my Mr. Bimmer post above on 7 Feb 202 about the tracking issues after it leaves the factory. Like waiting for a baby to be delivered. Sitting on the edge of my seat now....
