Got my 330e in December (just before Christmas) now done 28,000 miles and had first service (delayed service due to coronavirus and dealers not calling me back) my rears are still good with a few more 1000 miles left in them.
Pressures checked on the idrive all ok. I drive a mixture of light and hard dependent on mood. Mostly motorway She should be due for some rears soon. But gotta wait till it reaches the lease companies minimum. |

Mines even more strange as only one of mine wore down in the middle.
I had it checked by the garage in relation to tyre pressure (2.6b) and all were at the same recommended pressure. Now the other one is getting a little low. Had the car since Oct and done 13000 miles. I had a Lexus IS300h F Sport before the BMW and in the 3 years of having it (70,000 miles) only ever had to change the tyres due to punctures. Hi
I've got the 330i with the 255 Bridgestone turanza's also got terrible mileage and the only wore out in the middle. I played around a lot with preassure the first and second set of tyres and nothing helped. As a matter of interest, it wore out faster when a ran lower preassure. After a lot of research the general consensus is that this specific tyre suffers from centrifugal growth. So like a dragster tyre middle of the tyre gets taller as speed hence the middle wearing out quickly. I'd suggest changing brands. |

You shouldn't get any warning - just inflate to 2.3Bar and then perform a TPMS reset, which will recalibrate the system to your chosen pressure

Just a little reminder in these pressure discussions, are we all on the same page?
Door plate recommendation, or TPMS 'real time' pressure and recommendations? |

I got off the door plate generally, with a view that adjustment may be needed based on external temperature, and use the monitoring system as a guide. Will always check properly with a pressure gauge though.

I once read that you can run into insurance issues if you don't use the manufacturer recommended (i.e. door plate) pressures. Don't know how much truth there is in that, but knowing the insurance industry I wouldn't be surprised.

I imagine if you had no air in the tyres at all and wrote your car off then the insurance examiner may have something to say.

I know it's not Apple with Apples, however on my G30 (i'm soon to get a 330e)... I have following:-
Front: 245s (2.2 iDrive and Door) Rear: 275s (2.2 iDrive and Door) Reason I mention that is rears on 330es are 255s and so 2.6/2.8 just seems very wrong, even with Extra weight of batteies, G30 must be as heavy over rear axle... I found the Pirelli's were rubbish and wore out quickly, I've had Goodyear F1's for nearly 2 years now and they are as good as new still - 13,000M Cheers

Always set to the door plate setting, and measure the pressure with a pressure gauge. The main purpose of the TPMS is to detect a significant drop in pressure, the absolute readings are not all that accurate.

It's a company Lex Autolease vehicle so no worries about when and how much, but even so, that's a shocking amount of wear. |

And back to topic, it seems like the Bridgestone T005s are no good on the rear so what's the recommended alternative without decreasing performance much? If we keep to pairs on each axle can we mix front to rear. The T005s seems fine on the front. |

My company now insists that new lease cars have a spare. As the 330e I have ordered doesn’t have that option, it got upgraded to 19” wheels and run flats. |

I've had no issue with the gel cannister and compressor (only needed it once though).
