Drove the car home today. So, once the stop sales were closed, it was a day until it was on a truck, and another whole 24 hrs until it was at the dealer (Baltimore to Cincinnati). Nice experience at the dealer. Ended up purchasing wheel and tire insurance. Wish I told them not to wash it. Lots of fine sctratches on it that look like they came from a dirty towel, and a few spots in the clear coat I’ll need to address or have them do it.

I really do love the car. A. Lot.

The tracker showed my car was at the Dealership, so I got super excited and ran around my living room. Then, I called my CA to ask when the car would be ready for pick-up, and he reported that it was actually still on a truck somewhere.

Still waiting!

Glad to hear they honored the deal!

When did you car arrive at port? Lol one of the rare cases where the tracker is ahead of real life I suppose.

It arrived from Mexico to the port in So Cal on January 9th (Allocation November 1st/Production started Nov. 11th/Quality Check from Nov. 26-Dec. 29th). The next day, off the ship, it got its RAM chip and then started its truck journey to the Bay Area.

I know folks have been waiting months longer than I have, so even though the tracker faked me out, I’m hoping the car will arrive this weekend! It’s my first ever BMW.

Thanks for the Forum support!

Wow that’s an insanely quick TL. Seems like a lot of hold up is with Baltimore port specifically. Congrats on the car! This will also be my first BMW, so anxious to get it!

Does anyone know if they’re working 7 days a week out at Baltimore VPC? Just curious if any cars clear over the weekends and if it’s worth checking the vin tool on weekends.

I don’t believe so. Looking at other forums there hasn’t been any movement out of Baltimore since the last week of December for the RAM stop sales. At this point wondering whether anyone is working there.

Mine entered production on 1/14. Dealer is claiming it will arrive end of Feb. Seems too quick?

Popping in from the m3 forums.

Any of you guys who haven't received your cars yet get "special identification 2" added to your standard features section in my garage? Anyone know what this is?

I don't see that on my 440cv that is awaiting carrier assignment at the plant.

According to my CA:

"9KB Special Identification 2- This pertains to a recent software update for the cars, just an identifier for BMW as to what version it was produced with."

It's common knowledge that we know way more about the cars we buy than the people selling them

It's really not even close.....

If i owned a dealership I'd have my team of sales people all over these sites as daily homework.

I said the exact thing when I asked my guy to add ZPK to my M440i CV.

Lucky you! Glad to hear that there is at least some movement out of the Oxnard VDC and that RAM chips at least exist lol.

Baltimore sounds like it is by far the worse but there's a few of us here at Oxnard/Port Hueneme since mid-late December waiting too. The other poster either got incredibly lucky or BMW has some way of allocating/prioritizing RAM chips that nobody can figure out lol.

Yes, M440i has been at Oxnard VPC since Christmas day waiting for the RAM to be fixed/installed/whatever. Still no resolution 3 weeks later.

One month at the VPC today. Not great thinking about the car sitting right next to the ocean, during the winter, for 4+ weeks.

Just began production today. Week 4 build.

When do deletions usually appear? I'm not showing any deletes or the classic iDrive controller

Once production completes you should be able to plug your VIN into mdecoder and see the final list of option codes.

Did you get to add adaptive m suspension to build before production started?

As of today I put a deposit down on an Aventurin Red M340i that's almost exactly to my specs. It's currently on a boat and due at the port 1/23.

I'm a silver/white guy so I'm a little freaked out about the color, but I really love it.

The waiting begins.
