I installed a vLand pair for my M440i Gran Coupe and the wiring was too short to run to the hatchback. I had to buy a 2m JST-SM cable extension to get them to connect. Still have a startup sequence issue on passenger side.

What's the consensus? Who sells the best set with the least amount of problems? Or are they all from the same source and we just need to pick the reseller with the best customer service because the tails will inevitably fail??

In contact with bayoptiks right now. I asked about 1) the coding issue (Euro vs NA) and 2) the Gore Tex patches to eliminate moisture. They said the coding issue was eliminated bc they don't sell that version anymore. They then sent a photo showing Gore Tex patches on the lights and said that had been remedied. But yes, still feel like its a gamble. Inquired abt their return policy to be crystal clear!

I used to have those GTS style lights on my F82 M4 and had no issues but ive heard reports of some people having issues, have you had any?

Arrived early. Installed last night. Sequencing works correctly MOST of the time. It seems like a roll of the dice of whether or not this ONE dragon scale would light up faster than the next. But it could just be MY pair of lights. Fitment is very close. Don't be like me... put them in correctly. I almost started an email to Bayoptiks until I realized it was a me problem. I got the Smoked Red. I did NOT see the Gore Tex patches they sent me a picture of and said were on there 🤨🤨. No coding needed, no faults.

My bayoptiks v1 ones still work great. The sequence doesn't work but to be honest I just don't care about that anymore. I just like how they look when they are on. Still rocking the Goretex patches and zero water has entered the lights. No complaints here. Those patches work. Everyone else near me has condensation in their lights.

Haven't had any water or condensation issues. Washed car once and it rained the other day. The lights have grown on me and I really like them. Still trying to figure out if I'm gonna smoke the rear reflectors since they now are the most dominant red thing on the rear of the car.
If anyone is contemplating, DO IT and go with Bayoptiks OLEDs.
