There shouldn't be any codes if done correctly. Make sure you are differentiating between US and Euro models. |

Just finished the install.
A tip for those trying to get that one screw out that is blocked and you don’t feel like drilling a hole. There are 2 - 10mm bolts which you can remove and push the bracket to the side. This makes it possible to get your screwdriver in there to remove the screw. |

I was thinking of using thermal paste from computer CPUs. Any reason behind commending a 50/50 ratio? |

Did you ever reach out to confirm fitment? Looks like no one has the boards for US spec cars. I've been talking with IceDriver on Aliexpress and I think I am going to send out a set of US spec LCI boards for him to work on, so hopefully he will have them available for US spec cars soon.

I got my yellow DRLs from Mod Emporium on Instagram. He probably gets it from the same source. It did require prying off the old ones from the heat sinks. Install is a PITA because to get to the outer monitors, you need to pull the headlights at least partially out to get access (or you can drill holes I guess), which requires removing the bumper. I also used the paste he shipped it with, and it seems to be holding fine after several months. Overall happy with the purchase and the effort was worth it IMO.

Had my "version 2" DRLs installed on Tuesday, September 12th. Used the method suggested by BobTheBimmer and it made things fast and easy for install. Also used the method suggested by Nembus with the 50/50 ratio of the thermal paste provided with the DRLs and CPU/GPU thermal paste. Took roughly 20-30 minutes for the 50/50 mix to dry/settle in the sun (cloudy SoCal day in the low 80's).
As for when we took the "version 1" DRLs out, we immediately noticed the DRL modules came right off the heat sinks. A further indication that the thermal tape was faulty by design. I didn't think of it at the time, but I should have taken photos of this. Also, the backings on the "version 2" DRLs have metal backings. Will do a month update as the "version 1" DRLs didn't last that long. Hopefully you all don't hear from me before then. |

Hey everyone, I am new to all this. I was searching for some modifications for my new car and stumbled upon this item: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mtkAziw
I am planning to buy RGBW DRL Module (EU-LED) and have few considerations before I buy it. It looks dope but I am not sure if it will be a big problem to install it. I saw some videos on Youtube and honestly I don't feel very confident in removing front bumper for installation. The option which BobTheBimmer mentioned seems good and I might try it. The question I have is for those that ordered from IceDriver, did they provide thermal paster and how do I know if this item is version 2 and not version 1? |

Version 1 has a blank back while version 2 has a metal plate on the back.

Yeah I just got a second set. They were only $200 for the pair. That way I could have a backup set if I ever need them for some reason. The boards should be delivered to them today. They told me it will take 2-3 weeks for them to convert them.
