Would it be worth swapping my CTS air intake for the MST air intake for the slight sound difference?

I would think not - while I am not intimately familiar with one vs the other - I would have to believe they are quiet similar. That said if you haven't coded off your ADS yet I would suggest you do - just to hear what is real and go from there| While there is no measurable power gains on our M340s with an intake - based on what I have heard in person most all open element intakes (with a cover or not) basically sound the same.

Hey, thanks this definitely helps. I had a feeling/knew the sounds were similar, but honestly the OCD in me would still swap out the intakes even if the sound difference was terribly marginally small.
