Ordered a gloss black M4 style spoiler from Amazon that was inexpensive…$60. I know it’s not gonna be top shelf quality but was expecting it to be acceptable.

It arrived with a giant paint blob on the back of the spoiler and a noticeable bump on top. Did not think this was acceptable so immediately shipped back and asked for a replacement.

The replacement just arrived today and once again a paint blob on the back but not as noticeable as the first one. Also another speck blemish on top of the spoiler.

Are all $50-$60 gloss black spoilers going to have these very noticeable blemishes or did I just get two bad ones? Do I need to pony up so cash for a better one or lower my expectations?

Would you put either of these on your G20?

I bought china made carbon fiber spoiler twice for around 200$, quality is 9/10 one minor imperfection in fiber under clear coat, other than that perfect fitment and look.

I would return spoiler with your imperfections, it’s surely unacceptable, even considering price

Yah already returned them both and will probably go with higher quality carbon fiber one. Not too many options out there that are higher quality gloss black that I can find.

I got a carbon one from eBay for around $140. It looks good and the finish is pretty spot on. Only issue is that the fitment isn't perfect, it lifts up a bit at the corners even after clamping it down.

I'd give those a shot. I've seen plenty of other people getting them and theirs actually has good fitment.

i will never not buy oem anymore, got the black grill and spoiler from china and both either have fitment issue or finishing issue

Ended up going with JBSpeed M performance gloss black spoiler. I gotta say this quality is much more like it. Fitment is perfect. Gloss black paint looks good, some minor swirl marks but can easily polish off I think. Overall way better quality and near OEM look and fit. Fast shipping from Taiwan. Relative to price I’m fairly happy.

Only problem is I installed it 1 mm off center I think and the OCD in me is going bonkers. Gonna have to just live with it. Getting the double sided tape off was a huge pain, even with a 3M adhesive remover wheel and it did leave some marring on paint even though I went slow and didn’t stay in same spot too long. Will need to polish the marring off.
