Recently treated myself to a cheeky little upgrade and got myself a 2021 G21 330D MHT. It currently doesn't have a heated steering wheel fitted and coming from a 320D that did i am already missing it.

According to BMW i cannot fit a heated steering wheel to my car but i have seen plenty of other cars of the same age and model with them fitted so i thought i would ask a community that knows way more than myself if they are correct or whether or not i can indeed get a heated steering wheel fitted.

Is there any reason i couldn't fit one?

Thank you. I did find that earlier. I guess my main question should have been is there any reason why i couldn't do it? When i asked the dealership they just said it wasn't possible on my specific car but kind of got the impression they just didn't want to..

AFAIK most dealers will always say no to anything like this, there's probably a BMW edict about not "modifying" vehicles

Straightforward to do, no reason to not do it other than cost.

All you need is the new wheel, plus the necessary coding. Very straightforward to do.

Dealers do not do retrofits, you need a specialist that does it and parts, unless you are brave and patient.

It's unlikely to be straightforward matter as just plugging heated version wheel in, at least it will need to be coded in and your car may not have come with heated steering module..

I had mine done on me previous F30 by Simon at Bavarian Coding, Google him and get in touch.

By the way, the heated m sport wheel are not that cheap these days, looking at approx £350 for used one
