Not feeling the G20. Have seen a few in person (I followed another one today while taking a joy-ride in the 2-er) and it still isn't growing on me. Tail lights are way boring, shiny plastic closed kidneys look tacky, and the door handles are an eyesore. Combine all that with the Lexus-like upward swoop on the lower door and the Merc-like round-ish side profile, and it's hard to believe this is a BMW 3-Series. Just like the pre-LCI e90, this thing is going to need some real LCI magic to turn things around. I know it's supposed to be all about how it drives, but it still needs to look the part too.

As a side note, I saw the new X7 on the road today for the first time and it was absolutely stunning. Curious how they managed to get a large SUV to look so good and then they give us this for a 3-Series. Then again, the X3 looks a bit goofy with the big nostrils for kidneys and the Japanese looking tail lights. Maybe they are purposely leaving us wanting more with the lower series vehicles to entice us to spend more on larger, more expensive vehicles most of us don't want/need in the first place. Kind of annoying. I know everyone bitched when "all BMWs looked the same," but these inconsistent and random styling exercises performed with each model are infinitely worse and far more frustrating to me.

the wheels dont flow with the styling of the car, the fitment is off, and the stance is wonky as well. just all around bad. ir would look better if you fixed the fitment and raised the rear a little but these wheels just will never look great on this car.

With all the hype about the g20 getting back to handling more like older BMW's (so I hear and read), throwing on mods from two of the absolute best in the business should make this even better.

Traditionally, the kidneys always were connected in the past, it was only during the 80s that they began to split, resulting in 2 nostrils on the e36, so they're going back to their roots. The connected grille looks good on the 2 series, just getting a bit big on other models (G20 included).

100% spot on, what happened to BMW!?! they made a Toyota Supra and slacked off when creating the prized 3 series and said f-it just shove the Lexus and Merc together and size it as big as a 5-series.

This looks terrible. Wheels too big. Car too low. Doesn't even look like the tires are the appropriate width on the grey one lol. Unless of course you're going for that "stance nation" look in which case shouldn't you be driving an old civic or scion? 😉
