Ah thanks guys. Now i wish I had just gotten a 2019 on the floor that had a first edition (or something like that) pack along with the M sport pack. The wheels looked stunning too!

Sport+ aside I honestly think that Comfort+ is the biggest win here. I hate driving on Comfort even with stage 1, I just simply think it’s lacking in acceleration.. But Comfort+ is amazing, the moment you accelerate, you get tons of power, but after you’re done accelerating, the RPMs drop to the lowest possible, saving gas mileage. It’s what I think Comfort should be, after all, we didn’t buy a BMW for no reason..

Any luck with figuring out how to make it show up in the idrive as well? I read about someone coding it using esys and they have it on their idrive too I think.

My Bimmercode ios app (version 3.4) is showing ECU not supported for BDC. I am connecting via OBDLink MX+.
Do I need the beta version to access BDC or a different Adapter? |

Damn. I didn’t know you can turn it off. I used to hit the sport button and then the radio button fast so my wife wouldn’t notice me changing modes This was before I coded it to start in sport individual. I should check to see if I can code it to start in sport plus.

I'd recommend not always being in Sport+ though because it puts all the settings on steroids, starting in Sport or Sport Individual is perfect Just disable the pop-up so your wife doesn't mention anything bout it again |

And I agree. Car definitely feels like it’s on ‘roids now. Who would have thought that a plus next to sport will make it seem like a whole new car again?! Quote:

Coded Comfort plus today. But did not drive around in it. Again. I can’t seem to get it to show up on the idrive. I tried coding comfort individual but same issue. Nothing on idrive and comfort individual shows up as a blank on the live cockpit. So I uncoded it. I did some digging in the G01 coding thread where someone had mentioned this months back. They had the same issue though (shows up on the live cockpit but not on the idrive). Someone else mentioned that some changes have to be made in the HU_nbt 3008 FES (change some values to aktiv) for it to show up on the idrive. I haven’t checked our cars for that module but I will see if I can find time to do it tomorrow.

I am from the UK, BMW changed the setup of the 320i M Sport. I had a lease car, BMW 320i M Sport (July 19 build). This had Sports+ mode and the exhaust sound was brilliant with lots of pops. I then purchased a BMW 320i M Sport in January (Dec 19 build) and there was no Sport+ mode and the car makes no exhaust pops at all. Interested if anyone in the same situation as me as activated Sport+ mode and got any exhaust pops back? |

Though I neither use it or can really tell the difference between it & Comfort mode, I coded it some ago using E-Sys. There were six functions I changed: BDC_BODY: • FesComfortWorldMode1 from 00 to 05 • FesPiaDefaultEcoWorldMode from 07 to 09 • FesPiaDefaultComfortWorldMode from 04 to 05 HG_MGU • FesComfortPlus from 00 to 01 • Eco_Conf_Acceleration_ComfortPlus from 00 to 01 • Eco_Conf_Steering_ComfPlus from 00 to 01 BTW, I discovered with past F30, when I took car in for service sometimes dealer would update software -- which meant my coding was gone, so I keep a list of what specifics I code Hope that helps

And yes. I have a list of coding changes too for that very same reason.

Coded in Sport+, loved the power pretty high up in the rev range and the lightening fast shifts. It keeps the revs pretty high so I just use it to do fast pulls when merging into the highway.
Wasn't able to find Comfort+ though. I like the idea of doing a pull and then the car settling down to lower revs quickly after that. Any specific instructions to code Comfort+? |

Also, I had mailed Stephan a few days earlier. He said to code the option I’m the iDrive, the head unit module needs to be coded, which isn’t possible now. He’ll probably add the expert code option in the future. But for now, it isn’t available. Edit - I did drive around in comfort plus for around two hours yesterday. I didn’t feel much of a difference except for the gearshifts being more noticeable. I prefer sport individual and sport plus over comfort plus any day. Just my opinion though

Edit: If you’re driving groceries or when you have a full car, and you still want to change lanes or overtake with ease, then it's worth it to have this mode. I'm not sure how it differs in stock since I am on stage 1 but maybe @VipinLJ is right, in stock it probably doesn't make much of a difference, or even paired with JB+. I also inquired with Stephan about HU_MGU expert mode coding (hadn't seen this prior), and he said this morning that it will be added at some point in the future, but at the moment there is no fixed release date.
