How was the install - did you DIY or pay a shop? Sways are something I’d really like to do in addition to monoballs and coilovers, but I’ve heard that the install is a pain on account of having to drop the subframe.

My Indy race shop charged 6 hours of labor total for both front and rear plus discount since I’m a CCA member. The subframe needed to be slightly dropped, not totally removed.
Imo, worth the effort and cost after holding off for so long due to the fear of labor cost.

Awesome, good to know! And I’m a CCA member as well; do you know if they have a list of “approved” indy shops? Wondering if I might be able to find a local place that would offer some level of discount, to help offset the install cost.

So the sways made a noticeable difference?

Yep, I would reach out to your local CCA chapter and ask for the list of approved Indy shops.
Yes, even though the H&R are non adj, the car feels much more planted during turns and far less body roll.

Registered for Thunderhill this weekend. Hope the weather cools down. As of now, forecasted 100 F!

You’ll have to let us know how your car does with heat soak. Do you have an upgraded heat exchanger or anything else?

I’ve done at least 3 track days in 100 F weather and notice oil temp is always on the high side. Personally, I just mitigate heat by doing a push lap, cool down lap, push lap, cool down lap, etc.
I’ve never had any issues doing this and do not feel much loss of power, other than typical when this hot.
No upgraded cooling, but I also don’t log any data other than my lap time. I’ll eventually invest into data logging.

When you replaced your brake lines to steel ones, did you do both the front and rear or just front?

Another track day registered, lol. I’ll be at Laguna Seca 9/9 with the Golden Gate Chapter CCA. Looking forward to using fresh set of tires for this track day.

Curious if you changed out rear bushings or not when you had rear subframe dropped for sway bar

I did not but did have SPL sway bar end links installed. That’s probably what I’ll do eventually. Chris mentioned the Verkline bushings added a lot more NVH and stability. So it’s definitely the next level of compromise between comfort vs function.

That is informative. So I probably won’t do rear subframe bushings. I don’t think the polyurethane insets make enough of a difference to go through the trouble of installing, but don’t have personal experience with that. I did the SPL adjustable endlinks with my sway bars so that I could corner balanacr easier.

peelerec Any clearance issues with 255 at the front and Ohlins R/T ? I went 235/265 for my new Apex wheels just to be sure I wouldn't have to use spacers...

No issues. I run Dinan springs daily and install the Ohlins for track days. No clearance issue without additional camber on Dinan springs. With the Ohlins + camber plates, no issue.

So you switch them back and forth? Can I ask why not run the ohlins daily? It seems like a lot of added risk not to mention work

To prevent as many rebuilds on the Ohlins. The recommended run time (hours/track days) for the Ohlins is not that much. I also have a great shop relationship that works with me on cost and driving instruction. It’s a win win relationship that yields them business and me huge discounts on labor + parts.

Hit a PB of 2:13 at Chuckwalla this past weekend. Going to have to be motivated one day to upload my catalyzer videos onto YouTube.
Might be my last track day of the year. Need to stay within budget, lol.
