You have BDC2 so no you can only have 5AT. Kit is ready to ship (MRR needs fsc just in case if you are planning to buy from ebay won't work without fsc)

You need same parts i had + lane assist (2 rear radar + side mirrors with mirror module) , if you need HBA also required a new stalk, can take care the FSC part!

Frr01 short range frr02 long range. You need frr01 for 5at 👍🏼

Sangria thanks for the help. It's not really my area of expertise. The sensor that broke is a Frr01 with the reference 6885585-01. My questionI is, the Frr01 reference 6885585-02 sensor would work, would it be compatible, even if coding is necessary, or is it simply incompatible. I ask because I saw a 6885585-02 cheaper than a 6885585-01, but I wanted to know whether or not I could buy it.
After research it seems that i have Driving Assistant" (SA 5AS).
Plus i don't know if i have kafas?

When I was reading this thread, I kept thinking this guy and the guy who did the OEM Backup Camera Retrofit thread on the E9x M3 board would be real good friends.

Then I saw the user name: Sangria. Same guy. Ha.

Excellent super detailed writeup. Looks like a total pain in the ass, and I am really glad my m340i already has driver assistance pro. It was a hard requirement when I bought mine.

Seeing as you are the all knowing master of OEM retrofits. Is retrofitting parking assistant pro feasible? It's the one option I don't have and would really like to get it. I've been absolutely spoiled by the front camera in my previous daily driver.

Kafas remains the same in F series. It requires frr01 and HOD to activate 5AT + 5AR.

If you have distance control on your steering you should have 5AT. You can't use frr02 on your car, not compatible. Frr01 also has different versions. You need to get the one 2nd gen not the first gen since your car is 2016.

Hi SaNGRia, thanks for your quick response, see attached FA from BimmerUtility, slightly anonymized since I don't feel comfortable to share VIN publicly.

I've compared with similarly equipped car (+ ACC) in the local dealership, the only HW difference I see is the steering wheel buttons. MRR is factory built, have not retrofitted any parts yet.

Is there a way to have ACC activated on my car the way it will not be overwritten by OTA or shop updates?

I was even thinking if it wouldn't be possible to VO/FA code 9QY as a precondition for ConnectedDrive purchase?

You need the same kit i used on my car. It's possible to retrofit and you have to exclude the OTA for kafas + frr02 during update by unplugging the units. Otherwise everything else BAU!

Thanks, retrofitting to DAP is too risky for me, but enhancing just ACC seems to be rather straight forward on my car, will PM you regarding FSC if you don't mind.
Will be more than happy to share with the community here if I manage to retrofit ACC on my car.

Sangria this is incredible. I am working up the balls to do this, but may opt for just ACC if I can find a way to just do that. Have you considered putting together and selling kits for other g20 retrofits like power tailgate, parking assistance plus (with cameras in front and on side mirrors), flood lights on doors?
I think tons of people (including myself) would buy them
