Buy it or Move On
Good day and happy holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or respectfully, however, you celebrate this time of year)! I'm coming to the end of my lease and considering keeping the car. I opted for most options, 15k miles per year and a residual value of $40k when I began the lease. Well, with maximum telework in place, as this post, I'm still under 28k miles. The only issues with the car have been difficulty deploying the trunk lid automatically and condensation build-up in one of the headlights. The dealer resolved both problems. I see the same vehicle, either CPO or used for approximately $50k. Is anyone else in a similar situation? Also, if you kept the car, did you opt for extended service plans and maintenance contracts? Thanks for your responses.

I think you should absolutely buy it - and if 6-12 months from now you decide to sell it you certainly would have that option (and make some money)
I personally wouldn't get any extended maintenance or warranty but if you do opt for a warranty forum member @GOLFFRR sells oem bmw warranties at really steep discounts and can sell them across state lines Here's a link to the warranty pricing thread https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1676787 Last edited by chenry; 12-23-2021 at 05:32 PM.. |
