Genius said it’ll be docked at the port of Bayonne on the 21st. It docked at Brunswick this morning but I’m not sure when my dealer will get the car. Hoping it is before the end of this month. Genius number: 844-443-6487

Interesting. I emailed them back before I saw your response and this is what they said to me:

“Once your vehicle has officially been off-loaded from the vessel, it will be transported over to the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) to go through the necessary checks and inspections. After all inspections are complete, your vehicle will then be released to a carrier for transport to your BMW dealership.

I recommend reaching back out to us on or around 10/14/2024, and I'd be happy to check back to see if any new information has been added to the system regarding estimated dealer delivery.”

Well, the Glovis Courage has diverted south towards Miami (was supposed to be in Brunswick last night) to get away from the hurricane. Guess no car for a while longer…

Thanks, Genius said the car will be docked at the port on the 18th and can take a week or so from there.

Baltimore on the 18th, although I doubt that now since the Glovis Challenge has gone south due to the hurricane.

I called BMW Genius and representative said it can take 2-6 weeks which seems a bit long. Also, they can only provide more detailed information once the status changes to In transit.

Certainly hoping its 2 weeks instead of 6.

Interesting, mine is in Final Assembly status for almost 2 weeks. Not sure if cause MPE being installed at the Mexico factory, which could cause 2 additioanal weeks.

My assumption is they were trying to hide from the hurricane. Turns out the hurricane wasn’t a big deal at all, so hopefully they get moving soon.

They could have just sailed it north, these delays are brutal
