It flipped to in transit! Yay I should take delivery by Sunday for sure. It’s going from Brunswick to Tampa which is only like a 4-5hr trip. So it should arrive tomorrow most likely but I’m working and hustling so my off day is Sunday.

I have no idea what was the hold up, dealer does not know, genius did not provide any details and it is not a stop order. I do not know if they install MPE in Mexico instead of Baltimore after assembly, this could be the case. It is also possible that they were waiting on MPEs to arrive from Germany. It is only logical explanation. If it gets to the dealer after port quickly then it is MPE that slowed down release and it is installed at then Mexico plant.

That's really frustrating. And I know you said October above, but I think you've been waiting since end of September. Hope it ships soon to you.

We currently have a 2024 X5 and I’m thinking about a new M340 for myself..

Is it possible to have a moonroof delete option on these cars? I’ve seen where other models have had it in the past but not sure if it’s something that’s available on a new ‘25 model. Logic tells me it wouldn’t be given the effect it would have on the manufacturing process etc.

Also, have any of you had success negotiating the price on a car that is ordered vs buying off the lot? What approach did you use? We received some pretty good discounts when we bought our X5 because they wanted to move inventory etc.

Called genius and they said that my car left yesterday on a train towards the port and that the train takes a month to get to the port. Is that true? Feel like I haven’t heard that from other people.

Yes, I got 6% off MSRP on a custom order. The dealer in my area would not discount at all but I emailed around to a few dealers and found one not too far who would work with me

Unfortunately we can’t delete moonroof option. I myself never use it and will probably open only to clean the seal.

No, that's crazy. Depends on which port, but shouldn't be more than a day or 2. If you are west coast then the port is Lazaro Cardenas which is about a 10hr train trip from the BMW factory. I'm guessing the east coast port is roughly the same since they built the factory to be equal distance from either port. Now once it's at the port you will wait anywhere from a couple days up to 6 weeks for a vessel assignment.

It’s official yall it arrived to the dealership! I took some screenshots from the video my salesperson sent me. It feels so unreal to see my dream car in video. I’m going to take delivery Sunday. I’ll show more soon keep tuned!

Original production date of 11/19. I was just told it went onto the production line this afternoon. Ahead of schedule just as the sales person told me!

I had "Production Begins" about a week before the car was actually built. The build happened right on my assigned date. So your car will likely be completed on 11/19 and probably start exterior body assembly and paint booth a day or two prior to that. It goes quick!

My original production day was the 20th. It then moved to the 19th. I was “production begins” on the 4th. Yesterday it actually went into production and today it appears to be completed now getting final quality checks! So a decent amount ahead of schedule.

Since I have purchased my M340I. My GARAGE has been stuck in Production. The automated system has worked and says Car Had Been Released to Carrier. Anyone know if that means the carrier has the car or has not picked up the car? Thank you in advance. Last Car
