When your cars hit the VPC you’ll probably want to start talking to your sales rep at your dealership for info about status. When mine got to the VPC the website and automated phone system were unreliable for info. The BMW sales bro was able to see the status of the work orders for the MPE exhaust, status of the arrival inspection, and if the car is waiting for a carrier to be assigned. After a carrier assignment was pending everything went dark again. Mine was delivered two days later than expected on Thanksgiving. The best the rep was able to do was give me a wild guess based on his experience.

Thanks for the heads up! How long was your car at the VPC before getting on a truck?

I was very close with getting the car from NW. I ended up getting the free all weather mats at Bellevue. A lot more closer for me.

I’m not exactly sure. It got to port the 20th, was released for transport the 25th according to the CA, then everything went dark until it showed up at the dealership on the 28th. The dealership is 3 hours from Port Huneme so I’m not sure what was happening the 3 days in between. According to the CA they didn’t know the car was showing up the morning of the 28th. Apparently their GM got a call the same morning to go in and sign for the cars being delivered.

It seems like 3-8 days at Hueneme is pretty normal. I think there was someone on Gentle Leader who got their car like the day after it landed in port, but that's obviously an exception. I'm having MPE, CF spoiler and CF front lip installed so I'm sure I'll be a solid week in port.

My Dealer tells me he has the basically the same information as Genius. Have those of you who contacted your dealer on updates found that to be true?

What's weird is the genius automated line didn't update to "in transit" with a vessel name etc until about an hou after the app updated. And 10 minutes before I started flipping ahead 4 statuses I had a genius agent tell me that my car had never even left the factory. At that time my car had been on a ship for over 6 hours at sea. So I have no faith in any of their systems to be accurate. I imagine the dealer has access to the same computer screen as the genius agent.

That is basically what I experienced too. I never contacted an actual genius agent, but it would make sense that they have access to the same information. To be fair, I have been working with my CA for almost 3 years and we developed a good relationship. He was proactively letting me know when the MPE order was made, completed, and it was awating final mile pickup and delivery. However, he also wasn’t pinged by the system until the car was half way to Cali and he was miffed that he didn’t know that it had left Mexico. I assume not all the systems are well integrated. Germans can build the hell out of a Luxury sports car but cannot seem to be bothered with logistics.

Looks like Capricornus Leader has been parked off the coast of Cali about 6hrs from Hueneme all afternoon. I think it's waiting for Daisy Leader to clear out of the port before they can proceed. Looks like there's just 1 car carrier dock at Hueneme so they can't double up.

Hope I also make the Global Leader. I have been 35 days in assigned to carrier unfortunately its does say to port. Best guess January. That will put me at 4 months since allocation and order received.

Mine flipped to "At the port" and took another hour or two to flip to "In Transit" Also, the genius line had no information. They thought it was still at the factory.

Finally mine as well changed the status to at the port. It will be coming to Baltimore.
