I used to get the same b-pillar noises, and thankfully the dealer took care of them. Still get some creaking here and there, but it's way better. I put details in this thread:

Navigation screen is also prone to rattling on bad roads.

I definitely had a lot of creaking from the back and it was running me insane. Worse at low speed and on bumpy roads. It took multiple trips to the dealership before it was fixed. It came back after a while and they fixed it again. Funnily, I never asked what the problem was! But then I later had a similar noise from the electric roof and this one was from the seals, which they presumably lubricated. That one has a recurred recently. So I would try to see if it's from your door seals. Basically for my roof, they rub against each other and make a creaking noise.

Not a creaking noise.
I took the car in to replace the driver side mirror that decided to suicide itself. Apart from the dealer leaving my car scratched, I noticed that while driving down the highway there was a subtle whistling that was not there before. It come from the mirror area. Yesterday while driving back I just really focused on the mirror trying to figure it out (not recommended while driving lol). I noticed one of the corders was not really lining up. Got home and started poking around. Turns out the techs did not fully seat the mirror cover so it was slightly loose. Drove it and now the sound is gone.

Mine was creaking too. Brought it to the dealer twice and they said they couldn't hear it. I told them to remove the rear acoustic seal and now my car is silent. I can PM a video if you want to hear the sound I had.

my steering wheel creaks when any pressure is applied. I've pinned it down to the metallic button surround rubbing against the leather.

I posted previously on this thread with the fix. The creaking is caused by the rubber seal at the base of the rear glass. You can silence this creak by applying some foam tape along the length of the trunk lid where the rubber seal makes contact with the trunk lid.

I know what the creaking is....
I have the same rattling noises coming from my G20. I figured out it's actually the lid in the boot moving up and down that covers the space where the spare wheel should have been

Hi guys, do you know what this metallic clunking sound is?
link to the video I heard this first time 2 months ago, and has not been able to get it checked due to the pandemic lockdown. car is still new at around 4300km . happens all the time during idle, cold or hot.. could this be the wastegate rattle? |

there is a piece of weather stripping along the back of the trunk lid opening... if you follow the comments in this thread it will be obvious. Take sil-glyde and smear a thin layer of it along this piece of stripping and the creak will go away. The other option is to have it removed completely by the dealer, but my argument is that they put it there for a reason.

Thanks in advance. For creaking noise from B Pillars i used the same PTFE grease that i used in the trunk for the rubber where both plastics in the door (shadow black) are attached and it works perfectly. As the noise from the trunk I applied the grease long time ago and didn't appear again. Thanks! Last edited by GolanTrevize_86; 06-27-2020 at 04:37 AM.. |

3 months in and mine is as solid as a rock... except for the steering wheel which creaks when I turn it (or grip tightly in sport plus).
Can't think of what to do about it but it's driving me (pun intended) nuts as it's something you constantly touch! |

Buzzing Vibrating Noise from Driver side A pillar
I've driven my brand new, 3 week old M340i xdrive for just over 200km when I started hearing a buzzing, vibrating noise, everytime the car moves at any speed. The car has been fitted with acoustic windows which accentuates the noise in the otherwise quiet cabin. This noise is perplexing as I don't know what's causing it but seems to originate around the area of the A pillar on the drivers side.
Wondering if anyone else noticed that in their new G20. |
