no surprise there, legacy OEMs have always had wildly absurd concepts to get people hyped up and then comes out with the most cost effective dumb down styling that doesn't offend anyone.
in this early day of BEV adoption i'd say styling isn't a big factor at all given how the model 3 looks(not good), as long as it has a normal car shape people will accept it. |

I'm more interested in how the interior will look. I thought the i4 concept interior was beautiful

I'm not getting the wide disparity of ranges from WLPT vs. EPA.
EPA rates the Tesla Model 3 LR model 3 at 322 miles. WLPT rates it at 560KM (347 miles) for a 25 mile difference. https://www.tesla.com/en_AU/support/...calculator-ref How is it that C&D says the 373 mile range listed by BMW will likely be 270 miles (103 miles less than advertised)? Also, it's my understanding that EPA tests at higher speeds which actually produces less range overall with EV's while WLPT tests with shorter trips and less high speed running? I can't make sense out of or reconcile the range differences between the two. Based on the difference between the Model 3 @ 347 miles (WLPT) and 322 miles EPA....the i4 @ 373 mile (WLPT) the EPA difference should not be more than 30 miles less range. Literally yesterday they posted a pic on Twitter of the leaked 1 series sedan LCI, which has been affirmatively identified almost a week ago and called it the new 2 series coupe. C+D is barely a notch a above click bait, not doing any journalism anymore, sad |

Also, if you navigate the New Cars subsection of the page and go to the BMW section, read what they wrote as an intro to it. Reads more of an opinion/blog style than an actual legitimate publication: Quote:

Right? Scott are you able to confirm if the new 4er Gran Coupe has the same flat door handles as the i4 pictured here? Or will it be the normal handle like the g20 currently has? Sort of hoping for the normal handles but I can let that slide I guess lol

According to this article the i4 will go on sale sometime in 2021. But another post here says it won't hit the market until 2022...
What do you all think? |

That test mule doesn't even look like the i4. BMW stated 85% of what we see in the concept will carry over to the production model. The rear end is completely different as is the side panel. Hood and grille is wrong also. I searched pictures of the i4 concept in a separate window (with the same angle shots of the C&D pictures and switched back and forth between them and nothing lines up). I'm thinking it is like a electrified 3 series car or some other test mule. Wouldn't be the first time C&D got something completely wrong. |
