iDrive 8 screen mirroring

Hello everyone, I have a question in regards to use CarPlay or Screen Mirroring to watch YouTube or Netflix while idle on a 2024 BMW M440i with iDrive 8. Is it possible? I bought a BIFTU CarPlay Screen Mirroring Adapter but still can't seem to work...

Please help.

I do not believe ID 8 supports screen mirroring right now. Even with BIFTU adapter. I've never seen anyone able to do.

It sucks to not able to use the extended screen to watch something juicy while on idle lol

I think it's only possible with a jailbroken iPhone and CarBridge.

It works great for me. I've tried with iPhone 12 on iOS 14.3 and iPhone 13 on iOS 15.1.1.

Can you elaborate a bit more on CarBridge? I see it's an app, but how does it work with Youtube and Netflix?
