Voice Speaker Help

I have been having an issue with the speakers when connected to CarPlay. Every so often it switches to the voice speaker normally used for Hey BMW then switches back again.

Been into BMW and they can’t find the fault but it continues.

Phone has been updated, Idrive updated and reset and removed Spotify as I read that could be the issue but it still does it.

Any ideas?

Can you clarify what you mean? Do you mean that when in CarPlay, it generally responds to "Hey, Siri" but sometimes the BMW voice command system responds to "Hey, Siri" commands?

So when driving the music will switch from the normal car speakers and start to come the voice speaker where hey bmw or hey siri replies from.

It’s like someone has pressed the voice button on the steering wheel and it’s waiting for me to speak but it does it randomly and only with CarPlay

That is strange. Is it possible it is picking up the voice alert phrase from background conversation or from what's playing on CarPlay? What are your BMW and Siri phrases set to? A recent OS update allows you to say just Siri instead of Hey, Siri, but I think you can toggle that off...in case the problem just started.
