I am still waiting for my 2022 M440i Cab that I ordered back on June 30, 2021 so have no real idea when to expect delivery (although the latest is April!)

As I posted previously, my car was in production through August/September and I received a message from the dealer on October 13 advising that car had shipped and was enroute to Halifax.

Received another message on November 13 advising that car was back at port in Germany. Apparently there was a "supplier issue with a batch of modules" so the car was returned to Germany for the part to be corrected before it ships from Germany (again!).

It has now been 8 months and 17 days since my car was ordered. It finally left Bremerhaven in February. According to the dealer it is now in Halifax awaiting RAM module (supposedly the same reason it was sent back to Bremerhaven last Fall!). I guess they started to run out of room at the Port.

After 9+ months I was advised by my dealer yesterday that the retrofit on my car (2022 M440ix Cab) is finally complete and that the car has been updated to "Rail" in the mysterious BMW system. Barring a derailment or a strike I might actually get the car this month!

I seriously considered this color, but I went with white because there was one available on a boat and otherwise it would be a long wait. This color and DG are my favorites, and maybe skyscraper G.

The 2022 M440i xDrive Cabriolet that I ordered on June 30,2021 finally arrived. I took delivery yesterday. Alas it was neither convertible weather nor sunny (so the SanRemo Green is not glistening as much as it does in sunlight) but I was thrilled to finally get my car nevertheless. I must say that I am very pleased with the colour combination - SanRemo green and Tartufo Merino interior with the Ash Grey-Brown High Gloss Wood Trim (having ordered sight unseen to some degree).

I am looking forward to (i) finishing the break-in period and (ii) warmer weather.

Here are a few pics.

A special thanks to DenverBMW for a smooth ordering experience, keeping me updated during the long wait and for a great delivery experience yesterday. You can actually see a video he did of the car on his YouTube channel (DenverBMW).

It comes with the BMW Individual merino leather. My patience was wearing a bit thin at one point but (i) it was a RAM recall issue affecting lots of folks, (ii) it worked out as my trade-in went up in value, (ii) it hasn’t been convertible weather here for the last 5 months or so and (iv) when I look at what’s going on in parts of the world today it’s hard to complain about having to wait for my new Bimmer. Definitely a first world problem.

Spectacular color combo! Congratulations after your long wait. The Individual merino leather seats are beautiful and look incredibly comfortable. It was nice to read your list of gratitude as well. Enjoy the coming spring and summer ride!

I doubted a lot for the Sanremo green, bought my first convertible in sapphire black, unfortunately the car was total loss after 6 months (not my fault) and now I'm patiently waiting for the new convertible in portimao blue. still like the Sanremo green but still not sure if I will still like it in like 4 years.
