I wanted to provide some feedback on picking up my M3 CS. I had to make a decision to purchase last week and I had a hard time finding feedback from folks who have actually taken delivery.

My decision was trading in a 2021 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 on it, which is a car I really enjoy, and I was quite hesitant.

For comparison, I also had a 2022 BMW M4 Xdrive coupe and I never felt like it was a $90k car. It just didn't feel special to me. Don't get me wrong a very nice car but..... The M3 CS feels unique and special.

My only complaint. The unattractive front carbon fiber lip/spoiler. It makes the car way too low and more than likely will get damaged. I don't think it will take a speed bump and is at least an inch lower than my 911. To me it's pointless and unattractive and cuts back the usability of driving this car more. I am exploring how to take it off, if you can, and its not held on my adhesive.

I hope this helps some out there trying to make a decision. BTW mine is black with gold wheels, my preferred combo.

Congratulations! This is great to hear that it isn't way too harsh but still handles well. Seems like BMW CS cars all tend to maintain a great ride quality (like the M2 CS and M5 CS). Enjoy!

Nice car.
Agree on the splitter. CS and CSL. Too low, wide and chunky.

There is probably 8 fasteners that hold it on. You would need a different splitter that replaces the factory corner splitters. Factory corner or Alpha A corner pieces would be my choice if you don’t want any front splitter/lip.

Not many 550ps s58 dyno samples available out there, but there is one CSL putting down close to 600whp on dynojet (the only dyno that produce comparable results on different days and locations). I’m not suggesting 100whp differences because we don’t have many enough CSL/CS results to confirm it.

I’m getting closer to 50 and finally I can afford a CS without finacially putting in trouble me ans my family. Even if I won’t be able to understand the difference between an m3 and the M3 CS, the expectation this forum will be always a place to celebrate not only the cars but the personal success stories that stay behind. Any smart individual should understand it, that’s why your comment suprised me.

Both the M2 CS and M5 CS felt substantially different and better than the the M2C and M5C, regardless of what a spec sheet said.

I would not be surprised if the M3 CS is the same.

Car “feeling special” is very subjective. Even just fact that CS is very limited makes it special in certain way.
I am still waiting on M3 XDrive to be built and I know that car will be special to me.
It’s ok if someone feels special about certain model. Like someone said above this is not objective review by car magazine. This is people celebrating special cars to them.
