Rise to the playoffs with Smith.

Trade Smith for Colin....advance to the Bowl and lose.

Next season, make it to NFC championship, and lose....

Next season - no playoffs, but close to a wildcard team.

This season - bench Colin and the transition to terrible is complete...

Again, Hawks have already proven they are not the 49ers. For one thing, Wilson's proven he's got way more of a winning spirit than Krapernick.

Well...always been a fan of both Brady and Manning. If someone is going to knock the Pats out, at least it was the latter. O-line for the Pats didn't show up today. Hope Manning can get his 2nd championship (big game, not conference) under his belt.

My heart wants to believe that but I sure wouldn't bet money on it. If it's Carolina v Denver (which it appears it will be) Peyton's last SB will not likely look good.

Disagree, the Hawks have proved they can make it to the Bowl once...but not win the bowl.

Then - they followed that season by losing in the conference semi...

And for the 'we have been injured' comments - look at the Pats and the Broncos...

Both of these teams had injuries and their QB's missed significant game time...

All I'm saying here - the Hawks window is closing. Wilson just signed a huge contract. The defense isn't getting younger - and will cost big $$ to keep their core together. Lynch is gone....

Unlike a college coach - where the players change and the coach can maintain his 'style' over a career...

Pro coaches (for the most part) have a finite shelf life. It is the voice at the top that has to change sometimes...so the players can progress.

Just my opinion...
