$20k is a starting point of negotiation. I didn't pull the trigger because the MF and residuals suck now, but I was able to get $34k off a 2019. Even with that huge of a discount, the numbers still weren't great. Food for thought.

+1

$20k off means you're paying MSRP since dealer is getting that money from Acura. People buying should be aiming for at least $20k off + 10% discount.

Yup, because the NSX was designed to be a straight line one-trick pony like the Hellcat.

It's not meant to be a straight line drag racer, it's supposed to be a "Supercar." It's overly complicated for the sake of being complicated. They spent nearly 20 years "perfecting" it and now they have to heavily discount it to get people to buy them.

I've said this all along, the hybrid, battery/electric motor crap doesn't work. It makes the car too heavy for it's own good. If they had just come out with a V6TT with no hybrid system and had the option of offering a manual transmission and had a base price $40K - $60K less than what they're asking now, they probably would have sold quite a few more. Not to mention it would have weighed about 500 lbs less too. It would have spoken to the enthusiasts that were supposed to buy the car, but didn't. Porsche saw the light and is now offering a manual in the GT3 due to demand.

Oh, this is where the NSX is supposed to shine, but it doesn't. A standard ZL1 is just as quick around the track Check the time of the ZL1 1LE. The Grand Sport Corvette will run and hide from it as will the GT3. None of them have all the hybrid crap that's supposed to help the car to phenomenal lap times.

Joke.

And you guessed it, I don't like this car at all. Honda screwed it up.

Yep. Honda decided to get rid of 2018 model year. So, the discount was 60k and MF was ridiculously low.

Perhaps an old Vette without a motor and a partial pick up bed attached to the back.

Sorry nobody cares, a Hellcat or z06 could do the same with ease at half the price and they don't sound or look like the worlds fastest vacuum cleaner.

The new NSX isn't a bad vehicle just very average unlike the original, the sales numbers speak for themselves.

Great car. I drove it.

The price will drop when the new mid engine Vette starts to steel its sales.

I’d take an acura for 100k. Nicely optioned.

More than that, no thanks. Jmho

There are no sales to steal because it’s barely selling.

To each, his own.

Fact is, GM didn't screw up the C8 like Honda did the NSX. GM will sell about 20X as many C8's as the stupid NSX. Yes, in the end, it's all about the $ and making money. If Honda takes a bath on this, they'll be less likely to do this again. They had a poor business case for this car.

My point is , its a great car, priced very poorly. Its not that special and the Acura name plate is not at the top of every enthusiasts dream list of cars despite this being a extremely capable vehicle.

I drove it and other than getting my creaking bones in and out of the thing, its a crazy fast car that easy to drive fast.

For the Money I would purchase many other cars. For 100K OTD it might be tops on my sports list equipped well although I would prefer the M5 Competition over this car. Different cars I know.

I have yet to see it on the road yet alone at the dealer. Looks like there's no demand now the the C8 and 2020 Supra could be had for $60k?

At $80K USD, the upcoming mid engined Chevy Corvette will give Acura NSX even more competition.

What’s sad is that the original NSX was exactly what the C8 is today - a total game changer. A reliable sports car that looked and performed as well as an exotic, but was terrifyingly cheap and reliable compared to actual exotics.

I think LT3 comes with all-seasons

But yeah, most people like to add options/packages to their performance vehicles which obviously drives up the price.

Perhaps a total stripper registered in a tax-free state with no gap insurance gets you to $60k.
