The grille is not the same as the Bimmerpost renderings. Can I use my get out of jail free card?

I think this thread is within bounds as long as it remains civil and light-hearted. Let's refrain from attacking each other despite temptations when such actions might seem like a reasonable in cases like this.

I don't know why everyone is having a cow, this is still a concept. Grills are not going to be this big.

I'm not in denial I just don't want to jump to premature conclusions. Let's wait and see what they do with the G80 if it's as invasive as this concept then fine but until then we're still speculating.

This is clearly the new design language but we have to wait and see if it's going to be THIS drastic.

Not so much. It was nearly spoon fed to the entire forum via spy pics and insider info. If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck (...and the duck's owner says that it is, indeed, a duck), then it probably is a duck.

I admire your passion about this.

It's almost as if you have a piggy bank with "Next Gen 4 Series" written on it in thick Sharpie that you're desperately trying not to smash despite your utter shock, disappointment, and sense of betrayal.

Ehhh, no. I didn't love the look, but it has grown on me. This thread wasn't about me liking the car. It was simply about people who stood on their internet grandstand and stated with certainty that, despite everything that was presented to us, the new 4 wouldn't have large grills and that the grills would be like the G20......

....for which I claimed they were absolutely wrong and made a thread about it.

Things change, and I don't feel betrayed. Companies evolve and you won't like every product. The new 4/M3/M4 will certainly turn off some current owners, but it will attract new buyers who have never considered a BMW before. A company won't please everybody.

One important point I'd raise here is that this vehicle is named "4 Series Coupe Concept". That means that it is a preview of a specific product - the 4 Series Coupe in this case - rather than simply functioning as preview of a new styling direction or technology showcase or other more general purpose.

If you look at other past BMW concept vehicles that are named after products as opposed to those given a more generic name, such as "Vision Dynamics Concept" for example, you will see just closely these vehicles follow the eventual production vehicle by the same name.

Also, even if the grills don't look exactly like these, you admit that it is clear now that these are the new direction for the 4 Series grill. So they will indeed be "big". And I'll bet you believe they will also be tall like they are on the concept as well (each grill section will be taller than it is wide). So then, for the purpose of this thread, there's not much left to debate, right?

If I'm wrong, I'm gonna open my pockets and get a 911 s. Bmw loses, I win! Lol
send us a pic of that beautiful porsche, I guess is a win for you as Porsches are sports cars as no others but you have to pay to play

I was wrong. I thought the grills would be big and vertical, but not quite to the extent that was depicted in the interpretations. Instead I think the grills on the 4 series concept are even larger than what was shown in the illustrations!
