1. Engine oil needs to warm up. So car has to be driven around for a bit before LC can be done. Manual says 6 miles but I’ve done it in much less as long as the engine temp needle is midway between hot and cold.
2. Car in sport/sport plus/sport individual. 3. Single press traction button to go to sport traction mode. 4. Shifter in S. 5. Brake pedal to the floor. 6. Throttle pedal to the floor, past the kick down button (part throttle won’t work). 7. Car should rev to around 2800 rpms and the checkered flag and launch control active wording pops up on the cluster and HUD.

Hard on the brake, foot to the floor. The flags won't come on until you're fully floored. Car won't go anywhere as long as you're hard on the brake. Plus all the procedures this guy posted. lol ^^^

Keep building boost (throttle to the floor) for a second after it says launch active and you will get an even faster launch.

I really want to try this... but my car's not a lease and that's gets me worried about the future. Have to wait until break-in is done at the very least!
With all the driveline stress even when fully warmed up, how often is it safe to use this, once a blue moon, occasionally, what?

Yup. I used to long press the traction button instead of just clicking it. Long pressing disables the entire thing but LC wont work. Clicking it puts it into optimised traction which enables LC.

You gotta really press hard on the brakes or else it may not work. Then floor the gas pedal past the "springy" felling rather quickly. Sometimes it won't work for me. One time I tried 3 times in a row but only let me do it twice. Haven't tried since but I'm sure it will work when I need it.

Tried it again, still no go. I'll have to try and push the brake harder. Also I don't think I changed the traction setting.

I believe the car also has to be broken in (1200 miles on the clock at least). If it hasn’t done 1200 miles, I think it won’t work.

Got it to work. My problem all along was not pressing the traction button.
