Hope your all well? I found my self lovely m340i with a great spec so i had to buy it. I work in a bodyshop thats the reason why i buy damaged cars as it works out cheaper for me.

Pick up the car last week from copart. Here is a picture of the car. I have brought most of the parts to repair the g20.

If you want to see the rebuild of the car it will be on my youtube channel DrivingWithAsh.

I wonder what the previous owner was doing or thinking when his happened, I would be devastated.

Try to get your hands on an alpina spec S58, should be designed for the standard g20 engine bay vs the x3m version or the new M3 version

Nice man. Looks like a good start. Judging from the front fender that's missing the headlight, the frame looks relatively straight, except for the corner of the front wing that's missing. The rear looks superficial, may need a quarter panel. Anyway, solid pickup man!!

Thanks bro. Ive brought most of the parts now from breakers yard, ebay and dealers. Just waiting on few bits to arrive. I just need few bits and bobs like brackets and grills.

I will be replacing the rear quarter panel and front frame needs sorting. Its not bad as it looks.

It's just a mass produced car. That's what insurance is for. No doubt they got it replaced.

I meant if you have to replace the motor instead of a b58 get an alpina s58 because it is designed for the regular g20 engine bay

Great project. Reuse and Recycle!

About 10 years ago I did the same with practically brand new e90 328x. It had similar front damage at 1020miles. Took me about 4 months to do and get all the approvals but I drove it for 6 years and 90,000miles. I loved that car! You develop a special relationship w a car that has been nursed back to life.

Getting sentimental thinking about it!!

Good luck.
