Hi, sorry if this question has been answered, my guess is, it most likely has been.

Just updated my software to the latest 2019.70 version, but don't seem to have Android Auto available. Not sure if I'm missing the point but shouldn't it be available automatically?

Same here but I believe from what I have read here it is available only on 2020 update. Some people have it . In order to get for free if you want it now you must demonstrate to the dealer a fault with current version. Or you can wait till this fall when it should be available over the air

Hmm, thank you very much. So only dealership can give the update? Will need to convince them some how.

Had mine updated for free at dealership. Id said Spotify was crashing and Bluetooth losing connection to phone sometimes. No dramas was done straight away

I was put on 07/2020.30 last week, but can’t see much difference from reading around what the other 07/2020.xx’s do.

It now has Android Auto although I use CarPlay anyway.
Also has the rear LED running lights as a selectable option, windows seem to all work via voice control and don’t think they did before, can change into Xtraboost via voice control and am sure I got it to go into hybrid via voice as well, but seems to be only letting me change from another driving mode via voice into Xtraboost now and not into any of the others oddly... need to re test. Also slightly updated assistant graphics.

No sign of in-car Alexa and have tried; removing accounts, re adding, re-linking - everything, still only works from Alexa in the house... also can’t see the cloud maps has landed yet but to be fair not really used but maps just looks same.

No - don't have my G20 yet. I assume.... that the process is download android auto onto your phone, then select the Connected Cars option under General settings (still on the phone app)

Thanks for the reply (and sorry for thread hijack), yes I have all that stuff but it just doesnt connect. It says sending a note to the phone, but nothing comes up on the phone and the connection fails...

Doesn't that mean you are trying to set it up from the car rather than the phone? Or is that the car replying to the phone?

Wonder if you need to update the phone app in case your version is not expecting BMW connections??

I'm pretty sure both are up to date, though I could be doing something wrong on the phone. I remember having to fiddle about to get apple car play to work on my work phone...

Wired would work, works with my P30 Pro in our lasses Polo. Unfortunately BMW only supporting the wireless option. No idea if they'll change this in time

Tried with my huwaei p30 pro. Whilst I could get my phone to connect to the car through the WiFi etc, phone wouldn't switch over to mobile data even with WiFi+ enabled. So none of the in car stuff worked without data connection. Would probably work if I had subscription to BMW Hot-spot but 10 quid for 1gb is insane hah

Just remember folks if you have a phone which currently works as a digital key this will no longer work from this update as BMW have decided to only have that feature for apple users
