Hi,
Try this in BDC_BODY (CAFD 7083): Set GefahrenBremseLichht_Typ from nichtAktiv to bremselicht_blinkend After doing this, if you stop suddenly, the third brake light will flash Hope that helps!

Its a menu option on BDC on Bimmercode.
I have activated it and tested it and it works.

Figured I would join in on this. I have a 2020 G20 M340i and changed the GEFAHRENBREMSLICHT_TYP to the blinkend setting. Went out and tested it and nothing. Im guessing there has to be a considerable amount of braking in order for it to activate. Anyway to activate it regardless of force? I have seen it done on the F30.
FYI my general settings under the main ecu menu for BDC Brake force display is set to 5km/h and to weak braking. |

Some might notice that in just the last generation of vehicles, US-spec vehicles used to be fitted with a feature called "Brake Force Display" in the US; where when you stomp hard on the brakes, an additional area in brake light illuminates. If you notice, that feature has been removed from the G-Generation of BMWs. I guess the assumption is that brake lights being LEDs now, they are much brighter than halogen for the past, so BFD is not necessary or no longer implemented in some cars. This might be the possible reason the feature is not longer available for coding, regardless if it's flashing or an enhancing brake light surface area. . |

Euro Brakeforce (blinking brake lamps) can be enabled in our NA vehicles but the only way I found was to VO/FDL Code the tail lights to operate like the Euro tail lights.

If would humor me, just one other question; The older generation of BMWs had a separate subset of lighting in the taillights, that illuminates when US-Spec "Brake Force Display" (Area Enlargement) is trigged. That expanded brake light area is what the ROW uses as "rear fog lights." Since "rear fog lights" LED clusters do not exist in US Spec hardware anymore, I'm assuming by extension, the additional coverage of emergency brake lighting (BFD - Area Enlargement) no longer exists on the G-Generation of vehicles? |

You have one of two way of performing this task as presented in my earlier post. Coding involves 7083 and 5665. Larry

Just managed to discovered the setting for G22.
It's under BDC_BODY3, 3075 LceMaster. Not sure if it's gonna work, but surly just setting it via primary page on Bimmer code doesn't work. |

Only the 3rd brake light is flashing and it automatically disables hazard flashing after emergency braking. |
