330e Combined Range 500+ miles

Car was showing 27 e-miles this morning following last nights charged, then filled up with petrol this morning and my car was showing a combined range of 457. Much more than I’ve seen before during 7 months ownership and 8500 miles.
Then whilst driving the range was steadily INCREASING and got up over 500 miles combined which is just unheard of.
Has anyone else seen recent combined range improvements or have I just been getting poor range circa 300 previously??

I've had mine up over 750 miles since getting my 330e in October. I started a thread on it af the time, as the logic used in the range calculation is fundamentally flawed, because it combines petrol miles with electric miles IF you continue the charging pattern its become used to (ie. Same charging time every day etc). It really needs to be far more advanced, because on a full tank and fully charged, without refuelling or recharging, anything above 350 miles is likely to be a physical impossibility!

750!!?? Wow! I’ve not even seen 400+ until today! I think we must have different cars...!
Are you getting 750 on a regular basis and how often do you charge and what sort of driving are you doing?

Just found and read your post regarding this Pete, and it now makes a bit more sense, albeit still totally bonkers!
When I filled up this morning, I’d done about an 8 mile drive all in electric from a full charge, so my mpg At fill-up would’ve been excellent. So my car then thinks if I were to carry on driving like this then I’ll get a much greater combined range....., only until the battery eventually runs out of charge, then as the petrol ICE takes over, the range then starts falling through the floor....

I agree with what you suggest regarding having the range separated by petrol and electric. That would make much more sense and be easier to manage on longer journeys. I’m sure the BMW boffins know what they’re doing....!?

Oh well, 750 beats my 709! And I thought I was doing well!
I've been getting about thirty/thirty-five miles electric on the motorway in the warm summer weather.
