Back and forth between JB4 hex file BMW B38/B48/B58 firmware and hex file MINI B38/B48 firmware. Honestly been getting pulls on MINI.

Depends on your fuel

Map0: Stock tuning, fully disable JB4
Map1: Additive map with peak of 3psi over stock added (91 octane)
Map2: Additive map with peak of 4psi over stock added (91-93 octane)
Map3: Additive map with peak of 6psi over stock added (93+ octane)
Map4: Absolute target map with peak of 20psi target (93+ and/or E30 octane) suggested for higher boost models like G chassis, Supra, and Z4. EWG required for proper control.
Map5: Absolute target map with peak of 22psi target (E30+ fuel) suggested for higher boost models like G chassis, Supra, and Z4. EWG required for proper control.
Map6: Custom tuning map allowing both additive (below 10psi) and absolute (above 10psi) targeting. Setting RPM1500 boost below 5.7psi will make entire map6 additive, setting above 6psi will make entire map6 absolute target.
Map7: WMI map (boost varies based on WMI additive, meth flow, and other criteria)
Map8: VALET / Low Boost Map

I only use 93 octane! do you think I can use map 4 or only map 3?! I don't have any modifications!g22 b48 2.0i

map 3 is more aggressive than map 4.

I recommend you start with map 4 , datalog and send it to BMS, they will let you know if you can switch to a more aggressive map

Wow, i always thought map 4 and map 5 is more aggressive.

map 4 and map 5 are absolute map, they will target 20 and 22 PSI regardless of your stock PSI

map 1,2,3 are additive maps, they will add 3,4 and 6 PSI over your stock PSI

so if your stock PSI is 15, map 1 will target 18 PSI
map 4 will target 20 PSI

if your stock PSI is 18, map 1 will target 21 PSI
map 4 will target 20 PSI

so as you can see the aggressiveness of the map depends on your stock boost. with the G chassis platform, BMW is targeting high boost from stock, so adding another 6 PSI with map 3, will get you more boost than an absolute 22 PSI that map 5 is targetting
