G20 engine bay second air filter box?
Is this a second air filter box I'm seeing in the new G20 engine bay? Between what is obviously the real air filter box in the bottom left, next to the MAF sensor.
It's probably housing something else but what could it be? |

Probably some sort of resonance chamber to keep sound down or tune the sound levels.

There are no clips on it so it's probably not an air filter. It certainly looks like it could be a resonator.

I was able to find this part on realoem, item 4 here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=13_2115
It seems that it is indeed a resonator. |
