"and have speed limit assistant working manually (have to press set to accept speed limit change) and are just trying to code the auto accept capability?" I have no idea what your issue is. Did you have SLA already and had to press manually accept? Or did you never have SLA? After coding do you get the option I showed in the pic to auto accept, and is it just just not auto accepting, or are the speed limit signs not appearing? Where aSLA is coded but restricted by land mask and geolocation, the driver is presented with a message when driving into an unsupported region, In that scenario changing the land masks to FFFFFFFF fixes the issue, but these are EU drivers who already have aSLA but are in an unsupported country. US drivers that don't have aSLA but have SLA need to make the full coding changes. Last edited by ifr; 12-23-2020 at 03:10 AM.. |

IFR,
Beaucoup thanks for your forbearance and help. I now have got aSLA working on my car and have a better understanding of what basic SLA and aSLA do. Below are three pictures. One is the iDrive with aSLA settings displayed. The other two are of the instrument cluster -- one waiting for me to SET traffic light and the other after I did so. Still have to check my coding work as there were a few occasions when the car hesitated/staggered in an intersection with the light green and other when the car tried to run a red light By far and away, this is really very useful for "around town" driving THANK YOU!!

ifr, RSnic,
I just successfully coded aSLA and TLA on my US model g20 330i running i-step 11/2020 and want to thank you both for the detailed discussion and troubleshooting conversation in this thread. I ran into the same set of issues as RSnic and was able to unblock myself quickly. I have a question: what is the different between TLA and TLR? Is it possible to use traffic light related functionality with SLA disabled? I tried googling around for bmw documentation but I couldn't find any. |

TLR is the traffic light recognition, which has its own idrive menu, to determine when the light has changed to green and warn the driver to set off if they arent paying attention. TLA will recognise red lights with aSLA disabled, but won't stop for them as I recall. |

I got it updated at the dealer when I bring the car in for service. There's an issue with my automatic seat heater and remote start that can only be fixed by updating to 11/2020, so they did it for free.

What's needed to get this coded in my car? I just got updated to 11/2020.44 from the dealership. It however didn't enable the lane change assist, so I need to code that but I do have drive assist pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bump. I also have a 330 with driving assist pro, however, it was built before the date range BMW is implementing in. Would be great if a step by step guide for BimmerCode could be put together. I'm not sure why BMW excluded the earlier built cars - frustrating
