If theft breaks your glass and open the door. He/she can take off with key in the car without hot wiring it( if it is still possible nowadays)

I've tried opening the car without using the card while the fob was inside and it wouldn't open at all. |

In the unlikely event that someone knew the fob was in there then if they can gain access to the fob (break in) they could drive away with the car..

It would have been funnier if it didn't begin with an envious post meant to make Mcar owners feel like shit

I can't get this to work for my new M340. I have the digital key card and followed the instructions I found online through Jay's video but my car won't seem to even pick up on the key, therefore giving me no option to even select it in the iDrive settings.
My BMW connected app also isn't much help either. Any ideas?

Are you talking about using your iPhone as a key or the keycard the car came with? Only Samsung galaxy phones can be used as a digital keycard for now. No other phone iirc.
I used Jay’s video to activate my keycard and it worked. The keycard still works except for one day when the car would not let me open the door with it (I could start the car but had to open the door using the connecteddrive app).
