Specifically the 2020 B58? Am I the only crazy person that doesn't just want to throw the previous model JB4 on my car? The tune for the previous model isn't accounting for the changes our version of the B58 has. I'm not saying it's an issue, just not ideal.

I'm sure the older b58 jb4 would work on the newer car.

I was told directly from Terry to order the Supra stuff.

I've been driving the vehicle for a day now and it's noticeably more fun.

I'm just envisioning the tune on that JB4 is designed for the 2018 spec'd motor, leaving a lot on the table in terms of gains. Either way you're getting gains.

The hardware will be identical for both, and I assume the tuning/maps will be as well.

All you will want to do when receiving yours is update to the latest firmware (whether via the bluetooth module/app or the USB cable).

I know this is a really old thread but I have a few queries regarding the install.

I have a G20 330i but I assume the basic part is the same regarding pulling the obd2 cable into the car.

1. I opened the compartment under the hood and snooped around trying to find a way to get the cable inside. I saw a circle in the firewall that looks like it’s covered with the same material as the rest of the firewall (but it has a circle cut out). It was below the plastic part for water to drain. How hard was it to push it out into the driver’s side footwell?

2. Inside the car, under the steering, do we have to remove the bottom panel by unscrewing the two locks? I looked around today, without undoing the locks and dropping any trims, and did see an opening in the footwell on the firewall that looked like it was the other side of the circle in the engine bay side. But I’m not sure. Is that the opening?

If you could post a few pics of how you got the obd2 cable inside you car, I’d be grateful.

It's plastic so I just pressed on it.

I removed the two screws for the plastic cover under the steering column.

I can take some photos of it tomorrow
