Oh I am, the F87 is likely getting a long term spot in the garage...

Much like the Ford Edsel.

You hate the big grill so much you’re going to get a car with an even bigger grill. Makes sense. Congrats, don’t let the door hit you.

My thought exactly - BMW is going insane but the only two crews who is consistently outdoing them is Audi and Merc with their massive grills

Taking names... most of you guys better keep the same energy when this car gets released I don't want to see any "OMFG I JUST TOOK DELIVERY OF MY G80" Post from none of you...🤣

The amount of crying most of you grown men are doing is out of control bro.. either you like it or you don't it's simple... if you don't leave it and let it die but to go in each thread on a BMW forum bleeding from your mids is just a bit much lol.

The only Audi I’ve owned was a 2004 S4. It was a decent daily driver. However, after the oversized grills became the norm, I lost interest in Audi and never went back. When it was upgrade time, I bought a 2009 M3 instead. It’s ironic that after all these years, BMW is now jumping on the massive grill bandwagon. Being late to the game, the trend is likely to change, sooner than later, leaving the landscape littered with horrendous looking, big-mouthed M cars screaming for attention.

As someone that hasn't kept up well with BMW for the past 8-9 months I'm actually laughing out loud. This is actually embarrassing.

This is frankly offensive. I can't imagine what type of design language could make this even remotely appealing. It looks like a buck tooth beaver after a 5 day meth binge.

Except Audi can pull it off. An RS5 is a stunningly beautiful car.

The G8X, not so much.

1) We don't actually know what the G8X looks like yet.

2) Most people didn't think the giant, gaping Audi grill was "stunningly beautiful" when it came out. They're used to it now that every Audi has it and they've been staring at them for 15 years. We'll see what happens with the BMW models over the next 15 years.

Yeah but those OLD-school BMW grilles don't work as well with today's cars IMO. Those grilles were contoured to the shape of the front end. The upcoming grilles look like an afterthought, as if they could have used any kind of grille and been fine. The hood line and flat face (because of modern pedestrian standards) aren't doing it any favors either.

What's the point of a forum if every post is positive? Pretty sure the higher-ups at BMW read some of the forums. And BMW changed the grilles on upcoming electric cars because of public outcry (not going to have connected kidneys anymore)

This!

It'll be like putting a Model T grille on a Mustang!

My post is a counterpoint to yours about "just go to Audi with their big grills". Audi pulled it off and actually worked it into the design. The current Audi design philosophy works. BMW's looks like an afterthought.

BMW has been known for a long time for the kidney grills. Audi had a boring front end and did something drastic. BMW didn't need to do that.

BMW killed an iconic look of the car and did it poorly to top it off. That's what got people pissed.
