BMW M340i 2023 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Road Noise

Hi,

Last year i purchased my BMW M340i. From factory it came with Bridgestone Turanza t005. (225/40 R19 93Y front, 255/35R19 96Y back).

Now one year later with 32.000km i needed to changed and i decided to change to Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. As I travel a lot for work i realized that this tyre has plenty of road noise.

Especially over 160km/h there is a specific noise and rumble even the passenger notices that.

Did anyone had a similar issue? Will this fade away with more km's or I just spend 1.000€ in new tyres that has this problem?

Thanks Chris

Almost 13K miles (21K kilometers) of primarily highway miles on my Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and they are quiet. Nothing unusual regardless of speed.

the pilot sport 4/4s is very sensitive to road surface type. any roughness and it will be very noisy.

on my travels they are going from super quiet to can't hear myself breathe all in one trip

I have been using the PS4 and 4S on a number of cars for years. Not noticed them to be any noisier than anybothers.
Specifically on the M340ix, not noticed any excessive noise even at 250kmh
