no iPhone signal strength icon 2017 330i

Hi, My iPhone is connected and works well through Bluetooth connection.. However, the signal strength icon on the control display disappeared.. I have navigation option.. I updated software thru USB and I tried re-setting iDrive display.. Still no luck.. Can anyone help please?

You have eSIM or physical SIM or both?

My iPhone 14 has eSim.. I am connecting to my carrier, Verizon, through eSim..
