FS OEM M Performance LCI Interior Carbon Fibre Kit RHD
I bought the M Performance matte carbon fibre interior trim for my G82 but don’t like it, so am replacing it with the factory glossy trim instead.
This cost me £950 on the 22/07/2024 and was put on the car, driven for 2 days, then removed so as new. The kit contains the; - LCI dash panel with the new 2025 air vent design inc ambient lighting - Gear selector /iDrive control trim centre console trim - Cupholder cover - Thin strip above the cupholder trim - Alacantra knee rest /cushions Part number 51 45 9 642 617 Looking for £900 ono. I can post for additional, it’s in the original box it arrived at the dealer in, or you can collect /meet me. I’m close to junction 24 on the M62 near Huddersfield. Pictures are at; https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B1A5G9Y2GsJPQw Picture of the kit installed the car (I didn’t install the knee pads); Last edited by Cirric; 08-16-2024 at 01:47 AM.. |

Might be interested in this.
Is it difficult to fit the long section under the screen? I've looked online and can't seem to find a guide anywhere. I guess not many people have done it yet with it being LCI. |

Thanks for the reply, and no it’s fairly simple.
There is a screw in the leg to the dashboard on the rear of the screen and 2 screws under the main instrument cluster that need removing - you need to remove 2 plastic covers to see them. Once unscrewed you gently pull the screen towards you and lift at the same time. I managed to just release the left side which gave enough access to unclip a wire and pull the trim out. The wire is for the ambient lighting. There some metal clips that sit on the screen brackets to watch out for popping off. I have a long magnet which helps to retrieve and hardware that drops in the dash. Hardest part is releasing the cable clip with one hand! You can remove the widescreen completely by unclipping 2 cables from the rear that you see when it’s loose but it’s not necessary. The trim releases easier if you start at the steering wheel end. Everything else comes off without having to remove anything else. There is a guide in this post - https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2070751 Last edited by Cirric; 09-09-2024 at 12:55 AM.. |
