My 2019 G20 320d front passenger door won't open. This started intermittently a couple of weeks ago, but now seems terminal.

The door sounds like it is unlocking, and the button goes down/up as you'd expect.

When you try to open from the door from the inside, you feel the same resistence as the door would if locked, but then won't push open.

Any ideas on this? I've got a third party warranty through Defend Insurance, but the soonest appointment at a BMW dealer is over two weeks away.

Can it be opened from the outside ok?

I have noticed that on a couple of occasions during the colder days one of the back doors becomes really stiff at the hinge when i open it first thing in the morning to drop my work bag in.

My issue seems to be the hinge but could it be the door handle mechanism being affected by the cold weather?
