Motech MW 20" wheels
Probably a long shot, but does anyone have a set of Motech MW 20" wheels in any design, in their G20/G21 fitment (more aggressive offset than OEM) but NOT fitted lowering springs?
Just exploring options and can't find any pics online.... |

Have you thought of getting in touch with Motech and asking if they have any images themselves either from finished cars or during development?

To be fair, they're a good bunch and i'm sure they'll be accommodating.

I'm not that far from there and it'll be a chance to see the almost twin car of mine. I had pics of yours from Tony while mine was on the boat.

Do you mean Tony as in TRL? If so, I didn't buy new from him. Mine was a used purchase in Dec 22, from Williams Bolton. FWIW they were good to deal with! |

I can see why you won't be making the journey to Wellingborough, that would be a trek for you. I know another M340i Touring owner that had Motech wheels posted to the South Coast without any issues so rest assured there. If you are considering the 795M wheels worth getting in touch with Cotswold BMW. They did me a very competitive price when i was looking but i was put off by the fact that they come with 20 inch RF tyres as opposed to PS4s on the MW-3. Let us know which way you decide to go. Buy the other half some Flowers and a Bottle of Wine, hopefully that'll sweeten her up

Going to take a lot more than flowers and wine, she's really not amused. Tbf 3k is a lot to spend on wheels I don't need. Still loads of tread on my stock 19 GY tyres, plus the wheels were refinished in black just last summer.
The tread won't wear that quickly either, with having winters on 4-5 months of the year. That's where the 795s make more sense, as I could sell my current wheels to offset cost - would need to keep them if I bought Motechs to put back on car when selling (although that will be a while I suspect). There are a few used Motech sets on ebay around the 2k mark though, but she's made her feelings clear on that too! Think I'll trade her in for a more understanding wife 🤔 Re Cotswolds, I've bought a few parts from them, always very competitive. In no rush but if a set comes up at a price I (OK she) can't refuse I'll be all over them |
