G37 Coupe... Surprised Me!

I went to the nearest Infiniti dealer (none in Seattle, Fife and Kirkland ;() and saw the newest G37.

I can't believe the trunk is so small. I can't believe the rear seat is so useless. This car shouldn't even be compared with the 335i coupe, it should be compared against the C6 because the rear seats are so damn useless! I believe the C6 coupe would actually have more trunk space then the G37!!!

The only car I've ever had a problem with a rear seat is the Carrera, and now I have to add the new G37.

The prev. gen. G35 Coupe had rear "monkey" seats as well...no surprise that hasn't changed.

Interestingly enough, I recall other recent thread of the G37 Coupe, where the OP said that they thought the rear seats were much larger than before; the OP also mentioned that he sat back there without difficulty...I don't know since I haven't seen a G37 yet.

the trunk on that thing has always been a joke, looks like it's not even tall enough for a bag of groceries

although, buying a "sports coupe" for trunkspace is pretty dumb anyways

I sat in a fully loaded one Sunday. The Back seats were cramped and I had to bend my head to sit all the way back and I'm 6'3. I would say the back has a little more space than the 07 g35.
But still doesn't compare to the 335 coupe rear seats. Also you can tell right away that the interior materials are not up to par with the Bimmer. Aside from that the car looks great. No one was allowed to drive it yet since it was just a sample.

The C6 vette actually has a huge 22.4 cubic foot trunk

Huge being that the car is 10 feet wide and the trunk is about 5 inches tall.

I too sat in a G37 coupe the other day. Same deal with the G35's , My head hits the roof. And Im only 6-2.

But other wise nice ass car. It was White with 19's and nav. O and LSD!!!!

they said it wasnt for sale but would be around $44k.

But really I cant wait for the 335ic

I just sat in a G37 today, I was actually quite impressed with the whole package. The only thing that really bugged me was the trunk space. My buddy fit in the back just fine (although he is only 5' 6") but damn that trunk was small...

That was me. I am 5'8" and sat in the back behind the drivers seat without any problems while my dad who is 5'11" sat in the front drivers seat.

If your 5'10" your gonna have problems back there, if not then you'll be ok as long as the driver isnt taller than 5'11".

There is more room in the g37 than the g35........however with how big the g37 is you'll wonder why the rear seat and trunk are small. Its actually amazing how big the G37 is compared to the little space is offers.

I had a preorder for the G37 cause it is practical, but my Z4 probably has about as much of a rear seat and more trunk room. You have to give the car some props though, it competes with the 335i for about 5-10K less.

true.... i couldn't believe it either that it could be even compared to the 335...i haven't diriven it yet but if the dirve of the g37 feels anywhere close to the feel of the 335 i'd say that the g37 is a much more practical choice for someone who loves their car stock, which is 3/4th the population....
