M340i - runflats
Hi guys,
I’m new here and just orders my first bmw m340i LCI. The wheels I have choosed come with run flat tyres. Is it worthy? Or do you suggest to pay extra for regular tyres? Furthermore I have choosed adaptive M suspension for extra comfort in comfort mode, in the dealer the salesman mentioned that the adaptive m suspension make the hard more rough. Can you please help me out as the car is set to go in to production in January and I need to take any changes asap. Thanks !!! |

In the US you can’t get regular tires unless you also get the optional spare, and this really hurts trunk space. Not sure about European choices.
Most folks prefer the regular tires, but I kept the run-flats and don’t have any issues. I’m sure you will get many other opinions. Remember that these tires run at higher pressures because they are low profile, so that increases ride harshness. I don’t have adaptive suspension, but wish I did. It is highly recommended. Dealers are often clueless about its benefits. |
