M Badge on 22 430i Grand Coup

Hi Guys,

What’s honest opinion about putiting a M trunk badge on a 2022 430i

Is this a horrible idea? It does have the Msport trim and such.

If not, what else can I put on there?

Or just debadge completely…

The trunk lid is considered poor form, but the fender badge is acceptable as that's the way the car ships in Europe. That's what I did to mine, fills in that big empty space nicely, as the designers intended.

Absolutely not. It's not an M car and thats completely okay. Its still an incredible vehicle.

But some non M cars come with the M badging on other parts of the car, straight from the dealer. I say it's justified if you have the M sport package and there's already some kind of M badging on the car (M wheels M steering wheel etc.). Considering it with my new baby.

Yes, I have the Msport package. M wheels, M interior, steering wheel, M calipers, the thing on the door lol etc. I just got it last week.

Thanks for the kind words! Best BMW I've ever owned, I just love it.

This is the part you need. Note that this is the chrome version that matches the chrome on the car. There is another version that is cerium which is a more brushed appearance. Let me know if you need anything else!

Let me also recommend that you pick up a set of the IND Painted Reflectors, really cleans up the wheel arches without that orange stripe there. Again, this is how the car ships in Europe, so no personal foul for unsportsmanlike conduct.

I am not a fan of up badging or adding badges where none were previously. But it is also my opinion and not my car.

Please keep in mind, the side markers are required by law.

With that said, I have not run a front plate in IL in decades even though it is also required by law.
