Looks like an infinitilexusbugatti lovechild born out of wedlock. Makes me want to break into the factory and start smashing grilles as they come out of the stamp machine. Kill them all before they cool off!!!

I promise this is my last one...it really seems as if BMW has completely lost their identity and is looking to everyone else's designs to "reinvent" themselves. The iNext vehicle is a rip off from Lamborghini, this 4 series looks like an Infiniti AND a Lexus, etc... this is disheartening...

Looks hideous. BMW has really been dropping the ball for me lately. Not impressed with the designs of their newer cars, there's always some design flaw or something that doesn't look right.

Sad that people can't differentiate, and are so quick to resort to insults.

Online business reviews are a good example. Imagine ratings if every satisfied customer posted a positive review. People tend to voice their opinions/experience more often when they have something negative to say.

That's disappointing, I think the hood line meeting the grille is an important design element, especially for a grille of this magnitude.

Can you say if the production grille will have the chunky chrome border and internals like this pic? Or will it be flatter and less 3-dimensional like the renderings we have seen? I'm betting on the latter unfortunately.

I think both of those design features are crucial to giving the grille some depth. Without those things, it will risk looking like they just pasted some giant grilles onto the front bumper, even though they were highlighting the framing of the grille "like a gemstone" in the press release.

No hater here having owned the best that bmw and m have ever offered over the past 30+ years of continuous ownership.

This is a full on disaster. Bmw is not in the low vol driver focused business anymore, they try to specifically appeal to the masses. So when the masses say its butt fugly, thats a business problem for them regardless of my opinion. Thats the real issue here.

I think at this point BMW is f*cking with us with these grills. We make fun of them and they turn around and do exactly what the jokes predicted - except this time everyone's laughing at the real thing.

This car needs a kidney transplant

....and what will you say when/if this car is a sales phenomenon? Mercedes basically ran the show for the past 3 years, and the X3, X4 and X7 are the main cars responsible for BMW picking up the pace a bit this year. The company needed to change.

how you would define a sales phenomenon for a coupe considering they already sell in low numbers?

Tbh, the grill is s too exaggerated for my taste and too prominent. It's like going to an outdoor party with the biggest sunglasses ever. You'll stand out alright, but get ready to put your flame suit on.

That is one grill only a mother would love. It's either you love it or hate it. There is no middle ground this time...

They had to run this design by a bunch if people to agree to it.

Which school of the blind did they use?

I just can't believe multiple people looked at this design and approved it.
