Macadamia Brown makes a lot of sense for the G22.

Yea, Heath may be more menacing and macho, but Jack is a true classic. Kinda like appropriately sized and proportioned kidney grills.

Wow! That front is hideous. The back looks like a current Infiniti. How is it MB makes their cars more beautiful with each gen and Bmw makes them worse

I was one of those people who hated what the spy photos were showing and I think I puked a bit when the M4 renders came out.

But I really love this. I honestly do. It's bold, refreshing, eye catching, sleek. I looks like what Darth Vader would drive.

I don't think I'm going to like the M4 because I feel like between the grill and what the front bumper will most likely look like, I expect the front end to have just too much going on.

The other problem is that once bmw smoothens out a few lines and tones down some things, Im afraid that what we'll see on dealer lots will be a blander body, which will lead to the grills being even more pronounced.
I think the sharp lines of the body allow the grills to be more understated (if you can believe that).

Lookin forward to seeing what the final result will be.

The real version will be more subtle. There have been signs of a body panel breaking up the grille on the G80 mules, that along with no chrome will drastically change the looks of the grilles, IMO.

That looks fantastic and would have been a huge hit, IMO.
Wow, that car looks good!!

I actually think it will help the looks, a solid black or body colored panel will break it up. Someone photo-shopped this awhile back and it improved the aesthetics.

It will look better in person, but these photos make it look overdone. The perspective is completely wrong.

Black grilles doesn't make it look so awful.
Darker colors will mask an overdone grille. Since I am inclined to get this car due to 6MT, I would probably get a darker color.

They did not have to go this extreme, seems like a bit of an overreach. I think a baby 8 with new seats and keeping a manual would have made this a classic....

They did not need to go overboard on the changes, the engineering is there to make a great drivers car that people would embrace with much smaller design changes.
There will not be body panels bisecting the grill. The only thing that will bisect this grill are the respective license plates/plate mounts. This has been reiterated numerous times.

I love this design. BMW is always ahead of the curve when it comes to design. All other automakers will follow BMW's lead.

Oh god this is the ugliest BMW ever made. Looks like I'll be ordering the last MY of F36 for my wife. She's totally grossed out by the grills.

UGH

That is absolutely horrifyingly and remarkably DREADFUL.

It's like an uglier Lexus front grill.

Hard to believe that this is happening.

I will not buy one.

Already expected a front like this, but this is just....no words!

And what makes me worry even more is how the production grille / front will look where they have to add something for the license plates, PDC sensors and the radar that is offset to the right as wee see on the test mules....so beside the size, there also will be unsymetric to the front because of the tech.....not really things that will make it nicer....I'm confused :

I'm going for the F96 next, definitely not this. Even blacked out the grille looks boring to me. Not sporty, not aggressive, and most importantly not Bimmer. With chrome at least there's a kidney presence albeit a very awkward one, but it looks so off to me. Blacked out it looks like any other Lexus or Audi grille. Where's the Bavarian identity?

I was taken aback at first sight, but I've warmed up to it. I'm looking forward to seeing this thing in the flesh in ///M guise with those sexy ass seats.

Side-profile is absolutely lost. Couldn't be further from what BMW once used to be.
Looks entirely like Audi from the side now.

I would like some of you to explain what "looking like a BMW" means to you because every iteration of car has a more progressive look and identity. An E30 sure as hell didn't look like the E36, and the E36 didn't look like the E46, and so on. Sure, this is BMW's most controversial change, but the company has always changed.

On a more positive note, what is that color? The bright lights really help show it off well, it isn't Melbourne Red is it?

Someone set up a "Like/Dislike" poll along with an age range. I want to see which demographic likes these new designs.

I already know I am old and boring and what I want (and why I have blocked out the existence of the mid-2000's monstrosities).
