Thanks! I can't wait...it should arrive late this month or early December (went into production 2 weeks ago). There are things I really like about Audi and some things I don't. They seem to be neutering all of their performance vehicles (S and to some extent RS). BMW and Mercedes seem to be beating them to the punch, although I do still like their interior and exterior designs.

Thanks! And yes it certainly has been a revolving car showroom on my driveway over the past year (much to the dismay of my wife) lol. Crossing my fingers that the M340i will be my last for a few years at least.

For various reasons I've been in 4 different cars in the past year...this will be 5!

The last one was a keeper (2019 Audi S5 Sportback) but someone not paying attention hit me and the car was written off. Only 700 miles on it! Figured I was cursed with Audi so I'm moving on to my first BMW. Looking forward to it!

Here's a list of the last few cars.

2019 Audi S5 Sportback
2019 Audi S4
2018 Audi S5 Coupe
2018 Lexus IS350 F Sport AWD
Hello fellow AudiWorld member! I'm thinking about following in your footsteps and trading in my S5 Sportback for a M340i. Let's see how my negotiations go with my local BMW dealer.
Congrats on the new car!

Congrats on the new car!
Thanks! I think you will be very happy with the M340i. The sportback looks better (subjective but in my opinion anyways) but the performance is night and day. I didn't realize how bad the initial throttle/transmission lag was with the S4/5 cars until I drove the M340i.

Yup it's the transmission lag that has pushed me to trade it in after only 15 months. I will be taking a hit as it is a leased car but I just can't take it anymore. Otherwise the car is almost perfect.

Same. Mine was totalled but if it wasn't for the lag I would have found another S5 Sportback replacement and called it a day. It was literally the only thing that I hated about it, everything else was amazing! I thought about an RS5 Sportback but there isn't enough performance difference between it and the M340i given the $25-30k price difference in Canada.

I bought. 8% off msrp.
8% is just dealer discount or includes factory rebate like delivery credit or something?

Dealer discount. 8% is not a ton but I know the Sales Manager and figured it was decent enough of a discount on a factory ordered model.

I can't believe you made it with 3 Audi's.

I had an A6 and like an idiot I purchased a new Q7 decked out thinking maybe they improved.

The Q7 is the absolute worst car experience I have ever had. Absolutely terrible service with Audi and the car had more problems than any car I have owned in 35 years.

I have owned over 10 cars and Audi was by far the worst.

Good to see you came over to the good side of the tracks with BMW

I've never owned a BMW so hopefully the experience is great and I'll be a true convert. I never had any major problems with the three Audi's and the dealer experience was good. I just felt like the universe was trying to tell me something after the third one didn't work out lol. I've almost every other brand of car so this should be interesting!

Finally took delivery. Unfortunately it's winter so it's sitting on winter wheels/tires. Love it so far!

Congratulations. Beautiful car! I wish the U.S. cars came with the all-black lower dash instead of the cognac-colored lower dash.

Thanks! Loving it so far. The ONLY issue I'm having is the iDrive and gauges dimming when it's daytime (same issue as many are having). Hopefully BMW figures out a fix for this but I'm not so hopefully after reading years worth of complaint on other models. 😭

Thanks. I love that...especially that it's all leather wrapped too (including the glove box!).

I saw your post on the window tinting thread. Sorry to hear it happened to you. Thankfully I'm good, don't have that issue in my G20.

I would push them to get you the latest software if you are not on it, incase that works? Not sure how else to assist you here, since it looks to be a random hit or miss on some vehicles.

I had them update to the newest software before I took delivery and it still didn't help. It's not unbearable but just a little harder to read when there is any glare on the screens. Coming from a bunch of Audi's with virtual cockpit, it adds insult to injury lol
