It's a real thin layer of real carbon fiber that sits on top of existing trim and it's attached with very thin 3m tape, the carbon fiber pieces are molded exactly to fit, it has held up great so far

The overlays look great. Is all real carbon fiber shiny or are there less shinier versions?

Has this held up over time? Has anyone else installed it? I really want to replace it cover up the aluminum with something darker and less shiny.

Saw this on facebook, looks like they're installing OEM M performance dry carbon fibre trim, doesnt look shiny
